Recycling Right this Spring
We are increasingly seeing items being placed in the blue bin that shouldn’t be there – including plastic carrier bags, books, clothes, non-recyclable paper and even food waste!
Please remember that your blue bin is only for empty, clean and dry recycling, including:
-
Paper and cardboard
-
Liquid cartons
-
Plastic bottles, pots, tubs and trays
-
Newspapers and Magazines
-
Drink and food tins/cans
-
Aerosols and aluminium foil
As a reminder, some households may find a tag on their bin if they have put the wrong thing in it. If your bin is tagged, please remove the items and we will then collect the bin on the next collection date.

Breathe Easy This Spring: A Guide to a Healthier Home
As the days get brighter and we start our annual spring cleaning, it’s the perfect time to think about more than just sparkling surfaces.
While we focus on clearing away the winter dust, the air we breathe inside our homes is just as important for our health.
Indoor air can sometimes be more polluted than the air outside and common cleaning habits—like using scented sprays, burning candles, or drying washing on radiators—can release moisture and harmful gases that affect our health.

New Day Centre Opens for People Experiencing Homelessness in Doncaster
Those experiencing homelessness or rough sleeping in Doncaster can now access key support and local services in one convenient place, thanks to a new hub that has just opened in the city centre.
A collaboration between the council, a number of voluntary sector organisations, and other services from across the area, this Welcome Centre is a warm space that is designed to meet the immediate needs of those facing homelessness, while also connecting them up to further assistance.
Please forward this email on to anyone who may find the information useful or interesting.
